The prices of jewellery bought online from wholesale gold jewellery can even be twice as low as those in jewellery shops. The idea is simple: online wholesale suppliers do not have such high running costs.
Why buy online wholesale gold jewellery?
- The price is low. This is the first advantage.
- You have thousands of jewellery to choose from, compared to just a few you’ll find in a classic jewellery store.
- You have access to the same gold or diamonds wherever you order from.
Wholesale Gold jewellery, although very beautiful, is quite hard to maintain. Gold fades quickly, stains and various deposits appear and the lustre disappears. Any piece of jewellery can be cleaned by a specialist, but we can learn how to do it ourselves if we know what to clean tarnished gold with.
Even though gold does not get dirty easily unlike other metals, there is still the possibility that exposure to dust and dirt, cleaning solutions, even air and moisture can damage it over time. Gold jewellery needs to be properly maintained so that it exudes beauty every time you wear it.
One of the most effective methods of cleaning wholesale gold jewellery is to use hot water and soap. This method works best for plain gold pieces without gemstones. All you need to do is to mix hot water with some soap and let the jewellery there for 20 minutes and then, clean them with a soft toothbrush and dry with a soft fabric, never with paper towels. Other way is to mix water with a bit of ammonia (not much) or with baking soda.
Baking soda is a powerful cleaning agent. Its alkaline properties dissolve and quickly remove dirt and grease. It can be used both in combination with water and undissolved as a mild abrasive cleaning powder.
The product is non-toxic and is used for cleaning steel, glass, plastics, silver and gold. But even though, it is not recommended to use baking soda for cleaning gold jewellery with precious stones as it can damage the stones.
Follow these steps to clean all wholesale gold jewellery:
- You need at least two cups of hot water for the cleaning process. Add them to a glass baking dish. If the gold object is quite dirty, add a tablespoon of salt to the hot water to help soften the dirt;
- Place the gold in the dish and cover it with baking soda;
- Add hot water until the baking soda completely immerses the jewellery. Cover the dish with aluminium foil. Let them soak for at least five minutes, but no more than 10 minutes. Spread the foil with the shiny side up otherwise the hot water could melt the adhesives and weaken the gemstones embedded in the jewellery. You don’t have to mix the solution, as the foil will make the hot water and baking soda to react automatically.
- Afterwards, wash your jewellery under cold running water for 50 seconds to rinse it;
- Use a soft cloth to dry your jewellery and wipe off all the baking soda residue.
- You can do the same cleaning for silver jewellery also.
